Nuno Vale is a C-level executive, with more than 20 years of experience in the international promotion of national and international brands. He has worked in a wide variety of organizational environments and sectors of activity, from multinational companies with global brands to private associations, both nationally and internationally. Highlights in his CV include the executive direction of Madeira Tourism Board, the global launch of the Wines of Portugal brand and the global promotion of Portuguese wines, several European Management roles at Nokia Mobile Phones and the executive direction of the Royal Treasure Museum, together with the scientific support of the Ajuda National Palace Director and his team.
He is a global minded executive, having lived and worked in England, the Netherlands
and Finland, in addition to mainland Portugal and the island of Madeira. He has a degree
in Economics from Nova Business School, an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, an executive program in Digital Marketing Management from Católica Lisbon Business School and an executive program in Strategy in the Digital Era from INSEAD.
In 2016, Nuno was selected for the “Innovation Circle”, a selection of the 100 promising
young Portuguese managers. This initiative was conducted by the main weekly newspaper Expresso, the leading cable news channel SIC Notícias and the telecommunications company NOS, with the sponsorship, of your excellency, the President of the Portuguese Republic.

Rui Galopim de Carvalho FGA DGA is an independent Gem Education Consultant, author, training expert and popular international lecturer on gemmology and on the history of gem materials. During his 30 year experience as a gemmologist Rui has studied important collections in both public and private museums, notably the Portuguese Crown Jewels. Founder of the popular Home Gemmology webinar series launched during the COVID-19 lockdown, Rui has a long history as a gemmology communicator, notably on social media where he is a popular figure. As an educator, he has developed training projects for luxury brands and for international bodies in the UK, Mozambique, Brazil and Portugal where he has been teaching jewellers, designers and valuers for decades. He is associate editor of Gem-A’s Journal of Gemmology, Vice-President of the Coral Commission of The World Jewellery Confederation - CIBJO, member of the Communications Committee of ICA (International Colored Gemstone Association), ambassador for LAUREL - Portuguese Association of Excellence Brands (ECCIA member) and consultant for several private collections and trade organisations, being member of numerous gemmological and trade organisations.

Margarida Barros started her academic background at Faculdade de Letras, University of Lisbon, where she completed her degree in “Art History” in 2011. She proceeded then to complete two postgraduate courses at Faculdade de Belas Artes, University of Lisbon, one in “Museology and Museography” (2012) and another in “Curatorship, Criticism and Theories of Art History” (2015).

Having finished both postgraduations, her career as an independent cultural mediator took her across several prominent institutions and museums in Lisbon, such as the National Museum of Ancient Art, the Money Museum, the Pharmacy Museum, Queluz National Palace, Gulbenkian’s Museum and the Tikva Jewish Museum Lisboa, having then integrated the Royal Treasure Museum’s Educational department in May 2023.
The main drive in her professional career definitely comes from her passion in how people communicate and create bridges between each other, not only through words, but also art. In everything she is and puts herself into, she strives towards the vision of a more inclusive and curious society, where social justice, independence and transparency prevails.
MADALENA MOREIRA

Madalena Moreira holds a degree in History from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2024) and is currently completing her Master's thesis in Cultural Heritage Studies at the same institution.
Following her undergraduate studies, she completed a one-year internship during the reopening of the Modern Art Centre at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, where she gained valuable professional experience in the museum sector.
She is currently a member of the Educational Department at the Royal Treasure Museum in Lisbon, where she also contributes to the museum’s digital communication and social media presence.
Her research and professional interests focus on history and cultural heritage, with a particular emphasis on the safeguarding, preservation, and promotion of rural heritage.”
